Campfire Wallet v2.0.4 has been Released!
The latest version of Firo's Campfire light wallet brings UI/UX improvements for a smoother user experience. It also now shows both Spark and Transparent balances on the wallet screen. Other improvements include the obscuring of seed words while the restore process is in progress, an option to rescan when enabling Lelantus scanning, and being able to hide zero Lelantus balances on the Desktop.

Spark Names
Spark Names is live on testnet and public testing continues.

Swap Challenges
A forum user highlighted challenges in swapping FIRO without requiring KYC. The core team took these concerns seriously and found out that ChangeNOW’s integration was down which resulted in a whole slew of other swap providers not supporting FIRO as they also use ChangeNOW in the backend. ChangeNOW has been contacted and they’re working on a fix on their internal infrastructure.
Alternative swap providers that don’t rely on ChangeNOW liquidity are WizardSwap and Ghostswap. These providers were tested but core team does not endorse any particular swap provider so take the necessary precautions.
Help the Firo community in testing out various swap providers and reporting it in our forum!
Firo’s mining VRAM poll will wind-up soon:
FiroPOW’s DAG size has now exceeded 7.7 GB, making GPUs with 8 GB of VRAM unable to mine Firo on virtually all platforms. More info can be found here: https://firo.org/2025/01/30/firopow-vram-requirement

If you need to have your forum level upgraded to be able to vote just post a note on the forum and someone will accommodate you.
The poll will be ending very soon - and work will begin shortly if changes are required to implement any changes that the poll may recommend. If the recommendation is to reduce the DAG file size to allow more GPUs to be able to mine Firo this will require coding changes that will take time along with testing, and will be included in a future release of the Firo software.

Development over the past two weeks have been focused on finalizing Spark Names, ongoing Spark Assets development and other maintenance works.
